On Sunday afternoon, we decided to go to City Park. It is a large park (1,300 acres) north of downtown.
It was under 3-8 feet of water after Katrina and some areas still need work.
A live oak tree: the branch going to the right was perfect for pictures!

By that way, that tree that was "perfect for pictures" IS a pretty awesome tree! I loved the picture you took of it! It just seems peaceful. :)
