Day four

Day four was spent at Tahquamenon Falls State Park. We saw both the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls. The falls were beautiful, but we were almost eaten alive by mosquitos at the lower falls! We had some time after seeing the falls, so we headed up to Whitefish Point.
Some info about the upper falls.
Upper Falls
Looking downriver from upper falls. The air was full of mist due to so much water going over the falls.

The lower falls are made up of five smaller falls. We were only able to see a couple of the lower falls. To see all of them we would have had to take a rowboat to the island and we didn't know how well Grant would do in the boat. We weren't able to truly appreciate the lower falls like we wanted to because of the mosquitos.

If you blow up the picture and look in the trees, you can see a bald eagle that we saw flying around the area.
