Last week we headed to northern Michigan to check out some of the sights. We had a great trip even if the weather wasn't the best (cooler and/or rainy most days). Our first day was spent at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. When I think of sand dunes, I don't think of MI, but this area definitely has some big ones!

We were so surprised by how clear the water was. It reminded us of water you see in the Caribbean.

If you blow up the picture, you can see two people trying to climb back up the dune. They were on their hands and knees and still not making much progress!

'Sleeping Bear Dune' the main dune people are able to climb (we didn't try to climb it)
